While it takes longer to cook, it retains much of its shape even after cooking and has a toothsome, chewy texture. In addition to porridge, it can also be used as a rice alternative in numerous preparations, like vegetable pulao, risotto and much more. So there, breakfast and dinner both sorted with this one-food army!
Storage & Shelf Life
Best before 6 months from date of manufacturing, Fresher the better! Conventionally stored in tin boxes away from moisture and heat.
- Boil 2 cups cup skimmed milk and add ½ cup of Jiwa Steel Cut Oats.
- Cook for 10-15 minutes on medium flame, till the milk gets absorbed; or till the porridge reaches your preferred consistency.
Great to make sweet or savoury overnight porridge. Dunk them in a jar with sweet delights like crushed cookies, toasted dried fruits or even peanut butter!!
