Made from the finest durum wheat, Jiwa’s Couscous is manufactured in-house & is ready in just 5 minutes. This versatile grain is a perfect alternative to rice, makes an excellent salad base & can be cooked with bold flavors, from one-pot stews to fresh summery stir fry’s.
Storage & Shelf Life
Best before 6 months from date of manufacturing, Fresher the better! Conventionally stored in tin boxes away from moisture and heat.
- Use a ratio of 1 1/2 cups of water per 1 cup of Jiwa Couscous. (multiply as needed for larger volume)
- Bring the water to a boil with a pinch of salt.
- Pour the boiling water over the couscous, cover, and let sit for 5 to 10 minutes.
- When the granules have absorbed all the liquid, fluff the cooked couscous with a fork and use.
These happy morsels make for a gorgeous salad base and easily double up as stuffing or for crusting too.

Aroma: A primarily nutty aroma makes the first experience earthy and satisfying. Deeper subtle notes of sweetness are prominent while cooking the couscous, and create a sort of intrigue and anticipation.
Taste notes: Bite into the tender pearls and feel the pronounced nutty sweetness in the first go. The bite is strong but not stretchy and that is what sets our Couscous apart.
